"By a stroke of luck, I saw, a T.V Programme in Lagos that was recorded at N.T.A Chanell 9 Calabar, Eme Ballantyne was one of the featured guests whose performance caught my attention. I started conjecturing the possibility of working with her and header to Calabar for a meeting. As destiny would have hit, Eme had already been in contact with Essien Akpabio for Production possibilities with whom I have had a long standing musical affiliation. My first meeting with Eme was a blast right off. I was amazed at the assured natural intensity of her voice and started dreaming of millions of directions she could be adapted. I wasted no time compiling ideas with her and Essien to present to my company Decca (West Africa) Limited. Naturally, her acceptance was spontaneous and the end result of our long hours of toil and sometimes minor frustrations during the Christmas vacation us what you are experiencing in this album. It may sound like a humble beginning but I feel that the temperament and messages contained in this album will be enough to establish Eme Ballantyne as a positive force to be reckoned in the new beed of artists evolving in Nigeria into the African and international scenes."
